Default shot out of the exhaust pipe

i was driving around on really bumpy conditions and when it finally got flat, i put my foot down. i heard a pop sound and stopped. something shot out of the exhaust pipe. i didn't know what but i started driving again and it made a really bad rattling sound and its having trouble accelerating. on top of that, i had to tow a yerf dog up a really steep hill after it broke down. out of one of the clutch vent it was smoking really bad. is that the belt? please help?!?!?!

The smoking was probably your belt-the bummer about that is that it's more than likely the belt is glazed, all that heat may have damged (blued) your clutch or driven unit. I'd pull the CVT cover and inspect everything before going out again.I guess now that the muffler is trashed you can go ahead and gut it out!.

Wow. It sounds like you've been beating your Helix up... It could be just some belt damage. I don't think your clutch will have to be replaced. If it does, this would be a good time to go for a Dr. Pulley Hit Clutch. And do you want to know what kind of aftermarket pipe will fit?

no and im sick of getting the stock exhaust pipes, there made cheap. this is my 6th one. getting the belt fixed isn't gonna be an issue but i don't know where to find a good cheap pipe that will fit my helix.

Wait. You're sick of getting the stock pipe, but you want one anyway?

First pull your CVT cover to acess the problem. If the smoke smelled like rubber it's most likely the belt, but if it smelled like burning break its the clutch. But either way you have to inspect the CVT system. These stock buggies are not made to tow other buggies unless on flat ground but even still it puts a lot on the clutch. The hit clutch is an excellant clutch and are expensive. Unless you plan on doing some serious engine mods the hit will never reach its full potential and you would be better served with one of the other performance clutches for less money. As far as exhaust goes, about all thats available for your helix would be the Hammerhead which is not cheap. I carry the TK tunned exhaust made in Spain but havn't tried it on a Helix yet, but I do believe it would fit.

Did you already checked all the possible parts that cause its bad condition? Try to check all parts and bring it to the mechanic.

I towed a buggy up a hill and pretty much fried my clutch. Had to replace it. The belt was ok. As Tom said take care of this issue first.
