Buggy Refurbish.
As I was heading into the 3rd winter for my buggy and she’s still running strong as the day I bought it. However I did notice some rust starting to mount up in certain places , along with the cables starting to fray and the cable covers starting to break. The horn or switch was broke. I also had an issue with my reverse gear box not going into reverse. So for the late fall I decided to give the ole girl a complete refurbishing with some new paint, all new cables, a new horn and switch, and a new gear box because I didn’t want to mess up the one I had anymore than it was by tearing it apart. Although by the time I figured it out, it’s simple device and now I have a spare reverse box that works fine. I also finally broke down and went a little mod, and got a no rev limit CDI, high output coil and NGK plug. She’s now as good as new if not better. I have a few before and after pics here, and plan on putting the entire project in an album. This is the best damn hobby ever!

Looks awesome! great job, the best part of what you've done is having peace of mind that everything has been inspected.

Thanx Metalstudman. Big 10-4 on the peace of mind. I'm a big believer in preventive maintenance. The best part was a full compehnsion of the reverse gear box, I just couldn't wrap my head around the way it works, now I got every part of it down.

Ditto on the paint job, excellent work!
I wonder if you could enlighten me on the reverse box on yours, is it similar to the Tomberlin Punisher or the Crossfire? I'm trying to wrap my head around it as well. I haven't even fired mine up yet, but hopefully tonight, if the carb comes in! Looking good! Kudos!
