Default New guy with a KANDI KG-250A needing transmission help.

I am new to the whole buggy world. I have had motorcycles, go carts, and even a couple of Baja Doodlebugs. A friend recently gave me a 2007-8 KANDI KG-250A. It has a 250cc water cooled engine, with a forward and reverse gearbox. He even threw in a Predator 212cc engine. The only catch is the transmission grenades on him. It only has the half that is part of the engine, left. I need help on what to do so I can get it going. Any help would be awesome. I am going to try to post pics with this post.

It also has a fwd/rev gearbox. The shaft that goes to it from the cvt housing is splined. Any idea what I can do to convert to a torque converter? I need help, I know nothing about buggies!

I did recently find the CFMOTO name on my crankcase half that is left. Other than that I'm not sure what to do
