Default Crappy Tie Rods!

I was gonna show my son how cool our Manco Deuce was. Backed out of the driveway and turned the wheel to the left.........the right side, 22 inch tie rod bent like a piece of spagetti! It feels like an aluminum tube? Anyhow....do they make a solid steel tie rod to replace this with? May have to make my own. The deuce is a blast to drive but dont want to have any more steering problems! What rod ends do you recommend too?
Thanks for your help!

The aluminum swaggered tubes are pretty tough , they also have steel. That link is just to get you looking in the right direction.
