Talking Good day riding...

Took the buggy out for a rip last weekend and had a blast! A couple of nagging issues remain however.

I seem to have lost some top end switching to the mikuni vm26-606. Responsive as hell, but probably gonna have to go bigger on the main jet, doesn't seem to pull as hard to max speed and if I remember right, i was getting about 40MPH max with the 30mm pumper and seem to get about 32MPH with the mikuni.

The gas cap I got with the spun aluminum tank doesn't appear to be vented, so if it sits in the sun, it pressurizes and crams fuel into the carb, or vacuum locks if I've been tearing around.

Probably due for a teardown.. Noticed a little puddle of oil under her this morning coming from the crankcase gasket, not bad, but will have to be addressed. Also, thought I got some slipping, maybe time to look at belt/clutch.

I'm getting the upgrade itch as well.. Kinda want to get her bored out fit a 61mm jug and upgrade my 4 valve hoca head to a taida 4 valve..bigger valves on the taida.

if your going to bore I highly recommend not going past 61mm bore, the engines become un reliable boring them that big.

Yeah, probably best to stay with the 58.5mm and not risk more problems..
