Default Noobie from North Louisiana

Well, just got our first buggy for our family. It's a 2 seater JEHM with a 250CC GY6, and that's about all I know. Dude said it would run about 55 - 60. It was free, so why not?

My son in law is all into Scooters, so he has some experience with the GY6. I'm a Jeeper and also into Scale 4X4 R/C vehicles. So I thought what the heck, I love a challenge so let's tackle it.

Currently she doesn't run, so my son in law and I hit up a local "chinese bike shop" that was being liquidating and walked away with a parts scooter, 2 GY6 250cc motors, a 90 cc and a 110 cc engine, along with about 3 large totes of spare parts, 3 new batteries, a spool of chain, a 110 cc engine on a small 4 wheeler frame 4 new spare tires, 2 scooter tires, and two 5 gallon pails of nuts and bolts....all for $95.00!!!

So needless to say, we are in the "hobby" of buggies/scooters now.

Will be posting up some pics and questions soon, so let the fun begin!

Yeah, we really lucked up on the spare parts. Local company was going out of business and was selling everything....Hyosung buggies, 4 wheelers, bikes and scooters.

Welcome- Awesome score on your engines and parts!!! Can you post some pic's of the model Jehm you got for FREE?
We'd love to see it. Your Jehm may not go as fast as 55-60mph (but would it feel like that speed!!!).

The 90 and 110 auto-clutch engines are knock offs of the Honda ATC engine and you can use the Honda the service manual to work on them. The air cooled 150cc CVT drriven engine is a GY6, while your water cooled 250cc CVT engine is a CN250. GY6 parts do not cross over to the CN250 even if they physically fit.

Thank you so much for all the insight! It will take us a little bit to get this done as I am sort of a researcher and want to make sure the restore is planned pretty tight and right. We will post as we progress.

Again thanks for everything and assistance already.

The CN250 engine is similar to the Honda Helix scooter. Again, the Honda manual for this scooter will give you all the information you need for maintenance.
