They were good buggies. The only thing to be cautious about is if it has the internal reverse, make sure it works. Baja dumped the buggy line and parts are no longer available from Baja. Most everything will cross over so parts would not be a problem except for the internal reverse. If it has an external reverse you will have 0 problems getting parts

Sounds like a pretty good deal. They aren't that bad of a buggy. I picked up a used 250 in a trade and its pretty much the same frame as the 150. Just depends on if you want to overpay for a better brand name. I have seen plenty of people who were satisfied with them on various forums.

I love my baja reaction 150. I've had it for 2 years now and no problem with the motor yet. Keeps on ticking always brings me back home. I take it thru mud. Sand. Hills. And trails. The only thing I've done to it was reinforce the bracket that the front a arm connects to. Other than that I love my beast. Check out my signature.

Was that particular GY6 with internal made just for that buggy?

Am i wrong to assume that that engine with internal reverse was used in other machines?

Some of the older buggies with internal reverse which are no longer in business such as Sunl, Crossfire, and Baja all used a different type internal reverse. The later models with internal reverse such as ASW, Hammerhead, Trail Master, and Kandi are all using the same engines with the internal reverse, there may also be others as well. The Sunl was actually a bolt on gear box which the early models used the same GY6 engine case and could easily be converted to external reverse where as the later used a gearbox bolted to the case but the case was manufactured differently so as to not allow the use of external reverse. The crossfire with reverse had it built into the case just like the new models do but a totally different design. The Baja I believe used the external at first but then went to the internal also a different design. Where the Crossfire had an issue of it jumping out of reverse then people would get frustrated and push it back into drive destroying the output shaft. The Baja would mess up simply by abuse of going from fwd. to rev without stopping the buggy first usually when stuck or inebriated.
