Cool Yerf needs real tires

Anybody know for sure of any ATV models that front hub / wheels would be compatible to the Spiderbox front 5/8" spindle . I would assume Atv hubs would have a larger inner dia. bearing plus metric sizing . ( metric outer , 5/8 sae inner -- ??? sounds iffy ) Also rear rim applications with same if not more backspacing , I think the bolt pattern on the Yerf is metric not the 4 on 4 . Haven't measured nothin yet , GETTIN THE BUG for some real tires 22 knarley rears , and some tall pizza cutters in the front . THANKS

your best method would be to contact Travis over at BD. See if he has any of those front wheel hubs they used for the front brakes conversion kits, Those hubs were modified with wheel bearing sized to a 5/8 yerf spindle. A simple matter of taking your wheel off and slipping these on. You will now have a ATV hub with a 4.110 pattern. Just about any atv wheel/tire combo out there has a fit for this hub. plus, if you ever decide you want front brakes, these hubs are ready to mount a disc.
Your second course would be to find some trailer hubs from Harbor freight or northern tool or some other trailer parts source. you would still need to modify your spindles to accept them and you would have a 4x4 bolt pattern that would limit you to a steel trailer wheel.

trailer hubs will be 1" dia axles, which is what i run. The 4x4 pattern also puts you into golf cart rims, about the best you can get on those is a 21 inch tall tire, which is what i'm running now. you could also move into the 5 on 4.5 inch bolt pattern trailer hubs.

10/4 Thanks , have seen those and the complete 4on4 tire kit at BD ( only a 19" dia. tire ) I am trying to cheap out plus aluminum would be nice . My local C.L. area always has a lot of ATV rims , tires , sometimes hubs listed , was just wondering if there was a known fit . Will have to start measuring and proceed with my education . Thanks again .

I ran 10" rear rims on the front of my Yerf with the 4x4 hubs. Search for 10x8 4/100 rims with as little inside offset as possible. My tires were 22x8-10 on the front.

If might make a suggestion. If by chance you want to upgrade the rear axle, BD has a very nice upgrade for it. However, it's suggested that 10" be used. When I bought all new rims and tires for MY YD, I stayed with the 8" rims. I now have a FL 350 Honda. And it has 10" rims on front and back. If I had to do all over, I would at least gone with 10" rims for the rear. For the reason of the upgraded axle. Also, If for some reason wanted to swap tires, from the YD, to Honda, could do that. Cant say for sure, but I do see more options for tires, with 10" rims.

I cannot agree about 10" rims in the rear. By using 8" rims and 22x11-8 tires on the back, I was able to air down more without causing rim damage than using a rim that is 2" taller.

That could be a good reason, to go with the smaller rims. But I have nothing like that to drive over in Kansas. .
Don't get me wrong, I like the 8" rims I do have. But in the end, I'll prob. get 10" rims, for reasons I stated above.
Are those stock shocks?

The front shocks were off a Carter 150 single seater and probably very hard to find today. You would probably be better off with the BD front shocks unless you you make new brackets for some other shock since these are a quirky size and spring rate.

The rear shocks are BD's. I originally started off with Yamaha Blaster rear shocks and even tried Yerf-Dog Deluxe front shocks on the rear before finding the best ride for the price with BD.

BTW: Here is another Spiderbox I converted to four rear tires. It did well on sand and hard pack but was out of control in mud.
