Kawasaki Brute Force 650 4x4

Would there be anything on a Kawasaki Brute Force 650 4x4 (not sure about year older model) that would be good for a future buggy project?Brother has one with carburetor trouble he is ready to set fire to it.I told him if he didn't want to part it out and make some cash call me i would haul it off for him. I think it would be a nightmare to put something like that on a buggy but I thought I would just ask.
