HH SS250 Complete Rebuild Frame Rusted

So with much help from my Brother In Law we completely broke down the HH that I was working on. Once I was able to flip over and look at the rust it is pretty obvious that I'm going to need to do some welding and steel replacement. Any Ideas on what to do or how to tackle this task?

wow....I'd say replace it with some stronger sheet metal. Shouldn't be too aweful a job to do that.

The only thing that worries me is that the two pieces of round tubing that brace the center of the panels are also pretty rusted and I won't know for sure until I get the sheet metal off. Hopefully I don't have to replace them too.... Once I get the sheet metal removed I will post some pics. Any advice as far as what gauge sheets to use?

18 or 20 gage. I wouldn't go any thinner.

I like 16g. for floors.

So I finnaly got my HH Painted and ready for assembly just thought I'd post a pic, I toyed with the idea of going super flat camo green or tan but decided against it since the semigloss makes the mud easier to wash off.

Looks good, glad to see you back. I hit mine with a final coat of spray can clear.

X-BIRD Did the Clear help with washing the mud off easier?
