Default Twister 150 carb replacement

I bought a couple twister 150 buggies for the kids and want to eliminate as many problems as possible. They both need tune ups and I was lookin at new carbs. I hear electric chokes are a common problem. how long does the electric choke usually last? Is this a good idea

I want to replace the carb, all vacuume lines, fuel lines, vacuum fuel shut off pet cock, spark plug.

With the exception of the first link which I could not open they are selling you a stock carb and labeling it performance cause of larger jets or a UNI filter. You would come out cheaper to just clean the existing carb and rejet it yourself. Unless you are building the engine to require a larger carb the stock carb is sufficient. 99 9/10% of the time the carb is perfectly good and just needs to be cleaned by soaking in Berrymans carb dip , rejet yourself and install a uni filter. By jetting yourself you know you have the correct jet installed. The automatic enrichment valve (choke) go out rarely. Most of the time it is inoperative due to loss of voltage to the enrichment valve. On your stock carb however there is a manual enrichment valve kit available . The carb will not function properly if it sat for some time with ethanol blended fuel and just needs a good cleaning. However you should only use a pure gas (non ethanol blended fuel in any of these small engines. You can go to <puregas.org> to find the gas stations that carry pure gas in virtually every stale in the US. Most stock carbs that come on these buggies are either Keihn, Walbro, or DENI. Those are all top line Japan made carbs which just don't wear out.
