Default GY6 CVT upgrade package $150 shipped

I'm selling a GY6 transmission upgrade kit. Everything is slightly used except for the clutch rebuild kit.

Koso variator, $30

Dr. Pulley 10g sliders $28

NCY 1500 RPM contra spring $20

KidNme "shorty" clutch $181

Kidnme "shorty" clutch rebuild $54

That's almost a $300 combo for only $150 shipped.

I'm using larger weight sliders, making more HP than what the shorty clutch is meant for, using a stock RPM spring because I ride mostly ashphalt and like the faster shifting, and just threw the variator in to make it a "complete" package.

Someone who doesn't want to mess around with stroker crankshafts and big bore kits might want to just bolt on a couple parts and get a performance boost without having to touch the engine.

@xlint. I'm thinking of getting one of these koso variators. I was wondering what your impression of it was. I notice the wear marks seem to indicate that the belt didn't get very close to the top.

Not much difference from stock.

It is a larger diameter variator than stock, so it has the ability for the belt to ride higher if you modify your kart to do so.

So how could I modify to get the belt to ride further up. That could help even my stock variator. My wear marks show the belt still has 1/4-3/8 of an inch to the top.

Higher HP and heavier roller weights.

You need to squeeze the variator halves closer together in order for the belt to be pushed up higher on the pulley.

I'm 98% sure the pullies are touching at top speed but the belt still has further to travel. I thought you may have had some way to mod the variator itself. I think I will try the Koso at some point. My income is quite limited at the moment so kart parts are slow coming. I did just order an a12 cam. Should ne here by Wed. Excited about that.

Oh yeah. Those will integrated with the new parts. I'll send you a link where I got them. They weren't too expensive.

I was inquiring if the parts were still available.
I would be able to use on my stock SLGK 160 I believe.

Yes, I still have this set up. I do not know what a SLGK 160 is. Does it use a GY6 engine? Can you post a pic of your engine? Thanks

My engine is the GY6 with only (2) valve cover bolts.....I believe it to be the odd ball "B" style engine from Kazuma.
I would like to get these parts from you ,but some reason we are not hooking up.
Please, call me if this message gets thru.
Apparently the server is mixing my email up with someone else's.

Thanks!

I've called and left a message twice.

Please be aware that I have this kit listed on Ebay and the auction ends tomorrow night.

If you want the kit, let me know before someone bids on it.
