Default New guy from CT with a Yerf

Hey all, been lurking here off and on and figured it was time to say hi

Picked up a Yerf 30033 for my son awhile back, he did have a Manco street kart but wanted something we could take in the woods.

Here's how it looked the day we brought it home

For some reason the seat belts were gone so the first mod was to install new DOT lap belts on it.

The TEC motor on the Yerf was running like crap but I already had a NR Racing stage 2 clone motor lined up for it anyway that we took off the street kart.

That motor proved to really be a little too much for it plus my son wanted something he could easily start so I swapped it with a Carroll Stream electric start 6.5 blue clone

Battery box holding a U1 sized battery

Motor all setup and running

Key start setup on the front rollbar

Back in October we had a bad snowstorm taking down a lot of trees in my area. Was outside cleaning up the downed tree limbs in my yard and was getting sick of pulling them to the curb so I had my son get out the kart

Then once the work was done, playtime

Now having the NR motor just sitting gave me dumb ideas so I cleaned it up, repainted it and ended up putting it in my Baja Warrior bike with a Comet TAV setup

Here's what it sounds like running, in the process of changing to a much better header setup

Couple weeks ago my son and I were riding on some very rough rocky trails and the Yerf front arm decided teh kart would be better as a trike

So now it's time to redo the Yerf front end, already has new shocks so I will change out both arms, spindles, etc

Where in CT are you? I'm in East Haven. If you need anything welded or 1" tubing bent let me know!

Thanks for notincing my mistake, pulled out the manual, it's actually a model 30033

Need to fix it before snow hits

Think the next change is getting the turf treads off and going with a set of decent off road treads. Just picked up a Kenda Pathfinder for my bike, maybe I'll get something like that for the Yerf.

New A-arms are in, painted them yesterday and ready for install

Had a problem with one of the bolts being stripped so I went out and got all new grade 8 bolts to hold the A-arms and spindles on.

Hopefully installing everything today and he will be back driving!
