Default Deal or no deal

I am pretty new to the while mini buggy world, and since Iam so green iI have a quick buy or no buy question. Is this a good deal, 440 yamaha snow mobile engine and trans for $400. Here's the link

I personally think the compression is too low and would need at least a hone and rings.

But still a good deal as long as everything else is good to go.

compression accuracy depends on whether he tested with the throttle wide open or not. i don't see a trans, just a clutch pulley. So no reverse, pull start, still need to make up a rear jackshaft or FNR box and source a driven pulley ... I'd pass personally for something easier to work with that provides at least electric start if not reverse as well.

I'd pass as well because you may need wiring harness and CDI, etc...

And you can get all your crucial measurements like distance between pullies, offset of parts, etc...

I'd look for a whole sled.
