GT150 sprocket upgrade

Hey guys, when upgrading to the 39t sprocket does anyone know how many links need to be added? Whenever Im looking to order a new chain it just gives the amount of links but doesnt specify if its a factory replacement or if its longer for a different sprocket upgrade. I would like to have the correct chain in hand when i go to change everything.....i dont have alot of free time so being prepared is essential. Thanks

Buy longer then necessary and cut to length.

Count the links of the OEM one and add about 20 more just to be safe.

That's your best and least time saving way of doing this. There's too many varibles to quote an exact length on the chain, motor position, counter sprocket tooth count etc.
You can get a close approximation by figuring if a 35 link works on a 32 count sprocket, your adding 7 more teeth then 7 more links. I order 530 superbike chains off e-bay with a 130 link count. I get 3 chains out of one length so the cost per length is minimal. Their superior in quality compared to industrial chain. Much stronger, less prone to stretch and won't wear the sprocket teeth down. A chain breaker and one master link is all you need to make a custom chain.

I did the same exact thing.
