Well I started with the Alto and since the clarinet is so similar I played it at times in grammer school, than in about 1970 I traded the alto in on a tenner which I currently still have. If I can find one for the right price I would buy one. My Selmer went for $345.00 in 1970 and today without me doing a thing to it will bring $1800.00 and when I complete the new pads and all it should bring $2500.00. But I won't sell. It just amazes me how much they cost today. I wish I still had the alto as well, but who knew.
