Default caret talon dlx150 clicking

hey guys, i just got my first 2 buggies, one runs reat

the other has a few minor issues i need help with

a2005 carter talon dlx150....ran great few days i had it, the guy i got it from says he got it as a form of payment on a past due bill and it basically sat in his garage about three years with very minimal use.

first issue, everytime i turn off the buggy, the key area clicks for about 2 seconds...just a click click click. really fast????

second thing is, i took it to get buddy to get a basic tune up, change fluids clean carb oil and lube.....BEFORE i got the tune up, it just stopped idling, it used to idle perfect (the 3 days i had it), then it just stopped, it starts with a pump of the gas, runs, but just dies on the idle, sometimes after warming up a bit, it idles fine, but usually it just doesnt, the guy mssed with the carbs and idle adjustment but it made no change....and ideas?

thanks

Sounds like if it set for that length of time you may have an air leak somewhere either in the vacuum line which runs from the carb to intake, (replace this for good measure) or the intake is weathered and leaking. You can check it by spraying carb cleaner around it listening for changes in the rpms.

Could be that or more than likely the pilot jet is dirty.

For the clicking, is it like the starter is trying to engage type clicking?

for the clicking, it feels like it is coming from the little blue relay box under the dash, it only happens when i turn the ignition off, never to start it
