Default Got the kids a kart last week

Picked it up for 250 not bad not great just got sick of beepties on craigslist wanting too much and or junk.

Got me a HF clone and poped it on.
Seen BMs tube vid on the throttle and stopped by.
Freakin 5/16-24 bolt is a pain to find around here, for the clutch.
May change the chain as it looks pretty old and beat up.

Talked to a local racer and got the hookup on used tires cheap.
He said it should go around 40-50 with gov. in the moto.
May end up being a daddy toy if she goes that fast.

If I find the bolt and the free clutch works i'll try to get some vid.

Well got everything on and for some reason I don't think that I am really getting 3600 rpm out of it.
The gov pulls the carb arm back way too soon. Not even enough rpm to really make the tires spin with a load. It surges revs up and down. I think the gov may need to come off.

If I do take it out can I just bypass it from the top or do I need to take the gear out >?<

Take the gear out. You don't want that thing coming loose and bouncing around in there. I took one out of my Subaru 9.0 HP......it was easy.

It issedp me off so bad I pulled the gov.
That was the problem i'm sure of it.
It had so much play in the fins flaps thingies it was unreal.
The wobbled around in there bad.

Going to get the new valve springs friday (I hope) And put this bad mother back on.
Then we find out if the clutch is bad or if it was just the rpms.

Anyone know of a kart shop close to the south side of charlotte NC

Piedmont kart is up in Conover near Hickory and stocks majority of stuff. If you order from them on line you'd likely have it in a day. Not too aweful a drive from Charlotte though.

Thats a bit far.
Found them in Concord but thats still a hr drive.
May just have to order them.
The wife and kids will be out of the state for a week so I really wanted to get this going and make sure the kids will be somewhat safe. Well fine I wanted to play..

Gota say this clone is ugly inside. Lots of non shiny parts.

Took it for a test drive today with stock springs (HAD TO OK)
WOW this thing flies, No GPS yet but I would say 40-45
Church parking lot full speed left turn could not get it to roll (SO had to try)
Just a little tire slip but WOW just WOW. Brother said I have to get the seat because he will live in this thing, Or so he thinks.

Must change the wide right front tire to a smaller tire because of the jerking around.
Going to put 2 wide in back and 2 smaller in front That should help with the jerking round.

When the wife gets back i'll have her take a short vid of it going. Will be a crappy cell phone vid but it'll work.
Thinking about a riding lawn mower seat so my kids big butts can fit in it.
