What you have to do to make one street legal varies widely by where you live and local/state laws.

Check your state's DMV website or visit the local DMV to find out, since they're the ones that will have to issue you a license plate and registration anyway.

Very few states will make these buggies Street Legal

But if you can in your State, Make sure your buggy has these:
1. Tail Lights
2. Brake Lights
3. Head lights (maybe with High Beams)
4. Horn
5. Signal Lights
6. License Plate Light
7. On Road Tires is a MUST (No offroad Tires)
8. Some say you need a Windshield, but that's BS.
Having a Helmet with goggles is sufficient (You can argue that argument)
But for any reason you lose that argument, Do Not use Plexiglass - It will splinter on impact. Look for CLEAR LEXAN sheets.

Use SS wire clamps with the rubber in them.
The clamps are called "Adel Clamps"

9. Now by having a windshield you will need Wipers
Here's a Solution:

Have the wife on the passenger seat clean that windshield
for you. Hahahahaha

10. Mirorrs ( Side and Rear)
11. Seatbelts
