Default Advancing ignition timing for more power? upgraded cam.

Does it REALLY boost power?
i have a .290 cam @104LSA 246 duration and was wondering if it gives a huge benefit to advance ignition timing? i mean this cam without advance has a huge difference already.
currently @ 24 degrees.

You can try, hard to judge benefit other than seat of the pants. Also really have to properly monitor air/fuel for max power also have to do with a wideband.
