start with muffler off
thats my question will it hurt to leave muffler off for a little bit

the entire exhaust pipe including the muffler or just the muffler with the header pipe still on?

i put it back on didnt want to take chance my exhaust is one piece

Yeeeeeeah... I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be good for it.

you need to have at least the pipe, if possible, the whole thing. no pipe or muffler means flamethrower, plus you will give up a little power. try unpacking your muffler, makes it sound really cool, its easy, and its free.
