Question My buddy is looking at a used 2009 Dazon 150cc Buggy

http://austin.craigslist.org/grd/3181301940.html

The guy wants $600 for it and says the transmission won't engage all the time. Says he thinks it's the cable but doesn't hear any grinding.

Thoughts?

I don't think it's as new as 2009.Tank powersports the makers of Dazon was in bad economic shape at this time and went bankrupt in Dec 2009.I would say it is a 2007 model like my Dazon 250.This is not saying it is a bad buggy as I run mine all the time but I would be concerned with the transmission issue.I know very little about the 150cc class buggys. It should have a froor plate that list weight serial number and year of production since it was imported from Tiawon into the US. mancoman

After talking with the guy the spring on the cable is worn out/busted and he's using another spring to hold it in gear as a temp fix. It runs fine now. Test driving it tonight and if it runs snagging it up. $35 cable replacement.

That's great but did you find out what year it is?It is a single seater and may be even older than 2007.Have fun and enjoy. mancoman

Talking Purchased

The test drive was great and it ran at 30mph. However when hitting a bump it came out of F and into reverse. Looking at the return spring gearshift arm it looks like it's on backwards.

The drawback of being states away.

It's a dual seater (shown in the pics). My buddy bought it today and I am in CT and he is in England. The pics taken by my cousin show the following

That looks just like my sons buggy. Same model just a different color. Very comfy to sit and drive.
